With the summer weather it is important to make sure you store your medication properly. Most medication should be kept in a cool, dry place such as in a kitchen cabinet. While some people may keep medications in a bathroom cabinet, it may be exposed to heat or steam from a shower. Other medications, like insulin, should be refrigerated. If a medication is exposed to heat or not stored correctly, such as keeping it in the car, it can lose some of its effectiveness and won’t work properly, or it can expire.
